Left and Right

We have been working on left and right during our morning meeting and our writing time.  My class loves the Jack Hartmann song Looby Loo.  Have you ever heard it?  If not, check it out here.  Many of the children in my class could not identify left or right at the beginning of the year nor tell you which hand it is they wrote with.  We have worked on this the past couple of weeks so now children know if they write with their right or left hand. 

One way we worked on this was with a hand graph.  The children were so excited to find their hand on our graph.  This can serve as a reminder so they don't have to ask which hand they write with!
